GRS-201 V5.0 GRS Implementation Manual was published by Textile Exchange in July 2026.
Note: This urgent substantive revision is limited in scope to align the standards and implementation manuals with the updated Reclaimed Materials Declaration Form (RMDF) and relevant calibrations. The revision introduces a standardized format for documenting reclaimed materials entering certified supply systems and clarifies that certification also applies to "reclaimed material," which is considered equivalent to "claimed material."
Please note that, according to the Materials Matter Transition Policy (TE-MM-POL-102-V1.0), the GRS and RCS will transition into the Materials Matter Standard, which will become mandatory on December 31, 2027. From this date onward, all audits are required to be conducted according to the Materials Matter Standard. It supersedes the GRS and RCS, which are not to be used for audits conducted after this mandatory date. Given the multi-year phase-out timeline of GRS and RCS and the transition to the Materials Matter Standard, this revision requires the use of the revised RMDF from December 31, 2026.
